Assembly Career Builder Scheme

Scheme Purpose

This 12-month program aims to develop the competence needed to assemble and paint safety-critical components in line with airworthiness standards, while earning a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations. You will work on various assembly processes, including:

  • Crew seats for commercial and military aircraft
  • Executive jet passenger seating
  • Electric galley inserts

Details

  • L2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities Qualification
  • L2 Highfield Health and Safety
  • Open to applicants aged 16 or over
  • A desire to learn new skills
  • An interest in engineering
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 (c) or above or equivalent qualification is desirable

  4. Await an invitation to take part in the interview process

  • Induction
  • Minor Sub-Assembly Cell/Structures Cell
  • Choose an Assembly Pathway:
    • Seat Assembly Pathway – Rotation of a variety of Assembly Cells gaining experience of a wide variety of products.
    • Galley Assembly Pathway – Rotation through mechanical & electrical assembly and testing areas.
    • Paint Shop Pathway – Rotation through paint preparation, paint spraying and post paint processing.
