Scheme Purpose

This 18-month program equips you with the skills needed to complete all aspects of seat upholstery, including:

  • Developing upholstery patterns and templates
  • Manufacturing seat covers using a variety of materials, including leather, sheepskin, and fabrics
  • Dressing and fitting seat covers onto seat structures and sub-assemblies
  • Using state-of-the-art pattern-cutting equipment
  • Learning leather repair techniques

  • L2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities Qualification
  • L2 Highfield Health and Safety
  • Open to applicants aged 16 or over
  • A desire to learn new skills
  • An interest In engineering
  • GCSE maths and English at grade 4 (c) or above is desirable
